We always wanted to do an homage to some of our favorite musical genres that help shaped our tastes in the 90's. In this particular instance, Jamaican dub which is adjacent to Bristolian Trip Hop. Some Meat Beat Manifesto electronics. Add a dash of Dinosaur Jr., and Sonic Youth guitars, UK Big Beat, Us era Peter Gabriel, and bits of the Velvets which was a constant in our songwriting tool box. As for the lyrics, Jem wrote it, hence he sung it ( that's our band rule, you write it, you sing it!). So I have no idea what it's about, but I'm sure it's quite profound since he sung it in the style of Paul Buchanan (Blue Nile), and not Mark Greenway (Napalm Death). As for the synthpop version, it's just something we like to dance to at any given moment. Don't worry about it. Now, please don't ask me about the color coordinated instrumental tracks. It might take a book, and a film documentary to explain their entire meaning. I'm kidding, it's just bits and bobs, sketches of ideas that served as rough drafts to our next round of songs which will be out in the next few months.
